Chairman, New Life Fellowship Trust

Pastor T.V. Gopinathan is one of the pioneer leaders of the New Life Fellowship movement in South India. Saved in 1978 and called into ministry immediately, he joined Operation Mobilization in 1979 — serving across Karnataka, Kerala and on the Logos ship.

Recognising the need for theological grounding, he completed his Bachelor of Theology at South India Biblical Seminary in 1983. His passion for local church ministry led him to join New Life Fellowship in 1986, where he and his wife Ponnamma pioneered churches in Udupi and across the coastal belt of Karnataka.

A trustee of the New Life Fellowship Trust since its inception, Pastor Gopinathan was appointed Chairman in March 2022 — receiving the Apostolic mantle to lead the NLF movement into its next chapter. His focus remains clear: fulfilling the Great Commission through church planting and establishing Bible-based, Spirit-filled communities across the nations.

Known for his deep prayer life, his expository preaching and a father's heart towards those he serves, Pastor Gopinathan embodies servant leadership in every sense. He and Ponnamma are blessed with two sons and three grandchildren.

Dear Friends,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is my greatest joy to welcome you to the New Life Fellowship City Church website — a window into a community that has been walking with God for over four decades.

My wife Ponni and I are genuinely delighted that you took the time to explore and learn more about what God has been doing through this church. The New Life Fellowship network across South India has touched thousands of lives — broken lives healed, families restored, and young people who once lived in fear and confusion finding Purpose and Direction in Jesus Christ.

Our heart for the church is simple: we believe the church is a family. A place where the emotionally wounded are cared for, where difficult relationships find healing, and where broken lives are transformed by the love of Christ — restored to wholeness and released to live fully in society.

The Bangalore City Church has been a foundation and a pioneer — sending out works across the city and beyond. Under the faithful leadership of Pastor Mathew Abraham and Litty, this church has become a vibrant community of change-makers — reaching out to the lost, the discouraged, the dispersed and the disappointed.

Our vision remains unchanged: to help people love God, honour authority and live as responsible, law-abiding citizens — and in turn, to serve others with the same spirit and love they themselves have received.
